I freaking love this thing. Bought it for $64.78 total. The very first movie I played was my 4k77 OTT version of Star Wars. WoW. Pair it up with my sound bar and felt like my own little private movie theater. I also plugged in my Amazon firestick and that too work fine. The only problem I have is sometimes getting the screen leveled, I have to put something under a corner of the machine. Haven't tried gaming yet. Would like to get the newest HAPPRUN 4k but maybe some other time. As of now I'm good with this little unit.

The HAPPRUN Native 1080P Bluetooth Projector has completely blown me away. I genuinely feel like I’m in a theater every time I use it!

    Why I Love It:
Crisp 1080P Resolution: The picture quality is stunning. Colors are vibrant, details are sharp, and it handles fast-moving scenes flawlessly. Watching movies on this feels like being at the cinema!
Bluetooth Connectivity: The built-in Bluetooth makes connecting to speakers or soundbars so convenient. Pairing was seamless, and the audio quality is fantastic.
Bright and Clear: Even in a moderately lit room, the projector delivers a bright and vivid display. Perfect for both day and night use.
User-Friendly: The setup was quick and easy, and the controls are intuitive. It didn’t take long to get everything running smoothly.
    The Best Part:
The immersive experience it provides is unmatched at this price point. Pair it with a good sound system, and you’ll never need to visit a theater again!

If you’re looking for a projector that delivers top-notch image quality, reliable Bluetooth connectivity, and a true theater feel, this is it. Highly recommend!

Great bang for the buck. I naturally have a dark living room so the picture works great. Don't recommend using the speakers if you're trying to use it as a mini theater and the audio out was not usable so I purchased an audio extractor and routed to my Bose Soundbar for a perfect setup at a great price!

Had an issue with my first projector and Happrun quickly corrected. Great customer support!

For a projector that comes in under $250, I was pleasantly surprised by the picture quality, especially with true native 1080p resolution. The LED light source is a great bonus over traditional halogen bulbs. While it's not the brightest, it's perfect for movies in medium-to-dark rooms and works well for its price range. It's compact and lightweight, making it easy to mount on a tripod or wall shelf. With HDMI and USB ports, it’s easy to add a Firestick or other wireless device, creating a portable all-in-one solution with just a single power cable needed. I connected a dedicated Firestick and my son can play video games through Luna on a huge screen now.
The focus adjustment works across a wide range, but the keystone correction slightly distorts the image, affecting focus. The best image quality is achieved when the keystone is centered, meaning the projector must be carefully aligned with the screen.
Positioning can be tricky, as the screen size depends on the projector's distance from the surface. You can adjust the digital zoom in the menu, but this reduces resolution by scaling down the image rather than adjusting the lens. I used a 150” screen I got from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0878RVTKX/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and once I got it dialed in, the picture was pretty awesome.
The Bluetooth audio feature is convenient for connecting to a soundbar or headphones, though there’s a slight audio-sync delay, which can be annoying. Using an analog audio connection or routing through an HDMI receiver resolves this issue.

In conclusion, 5 stars for being affordable and fun, and doing exactly what it's meant to do.

This Happrun projector is worth every penny. My last projector cost 4x as much and was only about 1/4 better in quality -- if that.

Image quality is about the same, with the happrun actually beating out my old one considerably in noise reduction and sharpness settings. The haprun has better sharpness at the edges when I get it set up just right (see below,) but the top left and bottom left corners are still a little soft after doing everything I could to ensure a good setup. (Not a deal breaker for me.)

The fan on this happrun is half as loud as my old one, which is great.

The little hatch you can open on the bottom of the unit to easily clean the lens and screen is wonderful! I had to disassemble my old one to clean it, which meant there were often dust spots on our movie screen because it was such pita to maintain the machine. All projectors should be this easy to clean.

The lightweight design is great. Not only is it portable, the standard tripod screw hole in the bottom makes it possible to just stick this on any tripod or light stand for quick setup and takedown.

The speaker is actually loud enough to overpower the fan. I'll never use it because I use a soundbar or headphones. The speaker is tiny and sounds hollow but it'll work in a pinch of you need it.

I only use HDMI so I can't speak to other connectivity features of the device.

The one area this projector lacks in comparison to my old one is the keystoning feature. My old one offered four point digital keystone correction, while this haprun only features vertical keystone by means of a wheel. Yeah, you can use the wheel to square up your image if you can't get the projector level with your screen but I don't recommend it if you actually want to enjoy what this projector can offer. Any slight adjustment of the keystone wheel will make everything go out of focus from the center of the image to the bottom or top edge, depending on whether you're adjusting the top or bottom with the keystone. You absolute MUST get the projector level with your screen left to right because there is no horizontal keystone.

If you move the keystone wheel, you may find yourself having a devil of a time getting your image in focus again because there's no markings printed on the machine to tell you where to return the keystone wheel exactly to center. I got mine as close to perfection as possible by adjusting the focusing wheel until the edge of the image that was NOT altered by the keystone wheel was as sharp as I could get it. Then I adjusted the keystone wheel until the opposing edge of the image was in equal focus. On my copy, doing this resulted in a sharp center as well. Once the image was in focus corner to corner, I just angled the body of the actual projector to straighten the image on the wall, ignoring the keystone altogether.

To enjoy this projector most, you're gonna want to avoid using the keystone at all, which means you've got to have the projector perfectly level with the surface you project it on. I already owned a good tripod with a ball head mount that allows me to position the projector however I need to. If you don't have something to set it on or a way to mount it, you might not enjoy the image quality as much.

All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase! If you're on a budget this is a perfectly acceptable TV replacement for watching movies or cinematic shows that deserve a big screen. At this price, you really can't go wrong. You just need a way to mount it and a little knowledge on how to set it up to get the most out of it.

Oh, also, I went over to YouTube and used "projector test patterns," to get mine into focus and to help me adjust the color, brightness, and contrast. I highly recommend using those. It'll make your setup process way easier and give you a better looking image.

This projector is awesome, especially in the dorm room. The resolution is decent and the maximum screen size is excellent. The only concern I had was when I first bought it. The screen would only show static when I used the HDMI cord that it came with. I nearly returned it because I thought it was broken but once I tested another cable, it worked perfectly.

Just received my projector. Delivery was quick and I am extremely satisfied with the design, picture and sound quality. It's not heavy so it's easy to carry around and the remote control is a plus. I can't wait to use it in my classroom. I wasn’t really sure what to expect with this - I bought it as a gift for my wife and for the price wasn’t expecting much. I am pleasantly surprised, it has a great picture, is quiet, is easy to set up and operate and had an easy Bluetooth connection for our external speaker. It even comes with a large screen you can hang on the wall. The remote is useful and we had no issues connecting our iPhone to it so we could watch YouTube videos (you’ll need to buy a separate adapter for that). Very pleased with the purchase.

This projector works great. It is a good size not really small but still portable. easily sets up, can use with roku, chome tv. It is a slick design, speaker that is internal is not super loud but loud enough to hear, fan is not the quietest but not really noisy. Apps can be put through via HDMI connector. Otherwise the projector is bright enough to see in a lit up room but best in a darker room.

    🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely Amazing! Highly Recommend!

I am beyond impressed with the HAPPRUN H1 Native 1080P Projector! From the crisp, high-quality resolution to the versatility in usage, this projector has exceeded all my expectations.

Picture Quality: The 1080P Full HD resolution is outstanding, delivering sharp, vibrant, and detailed images that truly make movie nights feel like you're at the cinema. The brightness and 10,000:1 contrast ratio enhance every scene, even in low-light conditions.

Sound: The built-in HiFi stereo speakers are excellent, but the Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity takes it to the next level. Pairing with my soundbar was a breeze, and the audio experience was immersive and crystal clear.
Ease of Use: Setup was a snap! I love the plug-and-play feature, and the wired connection ensures stable playback, especially for outdoor use where WiFi may not be available. Perfect for garden parties or camping trips.

Versatility: The adjustable projection size and keystone correction make it suitable for any room or outdoor setting. Whether it's a cozy 47-inch display or a massive 200-inch screen for outdoor movies, this projector delivers flawlessly.

Compatibility: It works seamlessly with my Fire TV Stick, laptop, and gaming consoles. Having multiple ports makes it super flexible for different setups.

If you're looking for an affordable, portable, and high-quality projector for home and outdoor entertainment, this is it! It’s an incredible value for what it offers. Don't hesitate—this little powerhouse is a game-changer! 🎥🍿

I got this product for black Friday and I must say I'm impressed. Normally cheap projectors don't work well in the light but this one works fine during the day. Not as bright as more expensive ones but definitely usable. Plenty of items in the packages like the power cord hdmi rca splitter and a remote. I like the small size and easy transport of the unit. I have yet to try screen mirroring but I will update if I get the chance. The picture has all the box contents. Also the original box that is included is a great little stand if you need an extra 5 inches of lift. Very sturdy.

Overall, I’m impressed by this projector. Had some black spots on the lens, but the company included instructions and tools to remove lint from the internal glass. Simple enough, though slightly annoying. Works well in a dimly lit room and the picture was clear. Speakers work well, and are louder than the fan.

There are some slight aberrations and distortion towards the edges of the frame, but it’s not distracting. The keystone adjustment is fine, but don’t expect anything more than a few degrees of shift. Zoom is entirely digital. The fan is a bit loud, but that’s to be expected on a device this size.

Overall, I’m impressed by this unit and I’m glad I didn’t spend hundred of dollars on another one. We’ll see how long it lasts!

This is an OK projector if you set appropriate expectations. It NEEDS to be used in a dark environment for the best viewing experience if you're trying to project 100-120in screen. And I mean dark, like no other lights on in the room at all. If you're going for a smaller screen the image will be brighter of course. The fan is definitely loud and there's nothing you can do about it. You just have to accept it as white noise. There's only one hdmi port. There's not a lot of adjustments to make to the image, but it does have zoom adjustment which is helpful. Let's face it. This is a $50-60 projector and not a $300-500+ projector so it's not going to function like a more expensive unit.

When I was trying a number of cheaper no-name projectors like this a few years ago anything under $100 was pretty much the same deal. Not very bright. Loud. There was often blurring at the edges. So don't expect the world for under $100. That said, for this price it's actually better than some of the cheaper projectors I had tried and I did not notice any blurring at edges. Once focused it seemed pretty sharp all-around which was nice.

I bought this to take along on a beach trip since the house we were staying at seemed to have small tvs in all the rooms. Paired with a cheap fabric screen. This projector can be mounted on a tripod and I had a larger height adjustable tripod I mounted it to. I was able to project 100in image from probably 12ft away and it worked out pretty well. The caveat as mentioned is I could really only use the projector at night. During the day with all the ambient light in the room you couldn't even see an image on the screen. This projector NEEDS a near pitch black environment to look nice. Some light is OK, but it will wash out some of the image. For instance, we had a single light on (under the microwave) about 12ft behind us to the left and even that had washed out the screen some. The darker the better to get the best colors and image.

Bottom line, my expectation was for $55 it solved a problem for my beach trip. I could hook my Wii up to it and play games at night or watch a movie on a larger screen. I'll use this projector outside some to project on a wall in the evening or at night. I have a 1080p Epson I use in my home theater setup and it's MUCH brighter and better in all regards, but it also didn't cost $55. So while I would not suggest using this projector in a main home theater setup, for what it costs it's not too bad for occasional use. Just be aware the fan is loud and it's not very bright to combat a lot of light in the room and you'll be good.

The projector I received a few days ago. That's why I can't say much about its durability, However, I can share my first impressions with you :
Let's start with the fact that the projector is of average build quality But, for this price, it's better than expected. During operation, it doesn't make a very loud noise and it's not bothersome. After turning it on, adjusting the focus and tilt is not that difficult. if you plan to have the projector elevated, focusing on all corners of the screen will be a bit more challenging, As for when it's placed directly in front, the focus is relatively better. I didn't expect the image to be viewable in a moderately lit room,
However, I was mistaken – it handles moderate lighting in the room quite well, and in a darkened room, the brightness is enough for a pleasant viewing experience. As for the speaker and its sound quality, it's average. For a fully immersive movie experience, you'll need an external audio system or speakers. The projector has a quite high-quality, clear image and good color reproduction, You can achieve better results than what you get straight out of the box if you slightly adjust the image settings and perform proper calibration. I want to say that it's an excellent purchase for the family. Overall, I want to say that At this price, it's an excellent choice for a home cinema setup. The projector also comes with a maintenance kit.

I would also like to give you a few small recommendations to ensure you enjoy the projector for a long time:
    1. It is not recommended to use the projector for extended periods of time. After 4-6 hours of use, it is advised to turn it off and let it cool down for a while.
2.Do not operate the projector in a hot environment or near a heating source. The room or space where the projector is used should be well-ventilated.
3.The air intake and exhaust ports should not be covered.
4.The projector has a cover and dust filter on the lower left side, which needs periodic cleaning to prevent it from getting covered and blocking the airflow. Cleaning it once or twice a month is usually sufficient.
5.If dust particles still manage to get inside, the inner lens, located behind the lower cover, can be cleaned with the dust-removal swabs included in the maintenance kit.
6.Do not place the projector in an enclosed space; there should be free airflow around it.

Taking all of this into account, you will be able to enjoy this device for a longer period. I wish you a pleasant home theater experience!

If I could give it 10 stars I would give it, this projector is magic, it has average sound, but it can be improved by cable or Bluetooth, but the image for a projector that I bought it for $69 was more than a surprise for 8 months I used it for to be able to give a good review and if you are starting out in the world of home cinema or you just want it for the children or to watch some sport in the evening while you are with your friends, don't think twice and buy it, you won't regret it, the image is extremely pleasant the colors and if you add an ALR or gain screen and a chromecast or roku you will feel that you have a higher priced projector, simply spectacular price and quality.

Great little projector. The cooling fan is a little loud but you cannot find fault at this price point. The built-in speaker is loud and clear, which helps cover up the fan noise. This cheap little device offers brilliant, sharp images in any darkened room. Daytime performance is lacking, which is to be expected. The one detail that you should be aware: If you are pointing this projector straight ahead, the image is evenly crisp and sharp. If you position it at an angle that requires keystone adjustment, the edge of the image furthest from you will blur. Not too apparent with moving images but any text will definitely look out of focus. Still a fantastic value by any measure.

Ok, I was very skeptical about this unit. I is smaller than I expected.

Saying that, this projector is nice. It is brighter than my old one so I ended up buying 2. It is not only bright, the colors pop!

The screen is so clean looking, granted, I do have an actual screen. For this price, I am very impressed. I added my firestick and it looks great!

    Enjoy!

We did not expect the super high quality for the price we paid. It had surpassed any expectation we had. We purchased it to post images through a flash drive in a haunted house and it worked very well for that. But then we brought it home to use as our own personal movie “theater”, and we cannot believe how crisp and colorful the videos are! The sound works very well too, but we use a JBL Extreme 2 portable speaker that we connect via Bluetooth on the laptop for better “movie theater” sound. I have a Google Chromebook and used an HDMI to USB-C cord and directly connected it from the projector to the laptop, then through the device settings on the laptop, selected the mirrored image and this worked without an adapter. We threw up an inexpensive screen. I know the image quality will be even better when we take the time to secure the screen better without ripples. We have also used the projector on a white wall and it worked quite well too. I can’t say enough though about the quality for the price! It took a bit of practice to understand how to work the projector. The instructions seem to assume the user knows some basic knowledge about a projector. I had zero knowledge and with playing around with it for about 20 minutes it was easy to figure out. I would recommend preparing everything and taking the time to work out all the kinks depending on your system of use prior to the kids sitting down. We did need to take a trip to grab the HDMI to USB-C cable before using from my Chromebook laptop. I would highly recommend this projector!

I'm living through renovations & all my furniture is in storage, so I bought this projector instead of buying another tv. Wow, it's impressive. The set up was an easy plug & play. Works great with my firestick & my laptop. I bought an adapter to use with my phone, although I haven't tried it yet. The sound is good enough that I haven't used my BT speaker. The picture is better when the screen size is smaller, but as u can see from the pics... the larger screen size is good., especially considering the low price. Of course the picture is not as good in the daytime but it's adequate. They say you get what you pay for, but as of day one.. I feel like I got more bang for my buck. Hoping I can say the same in a year.

I looked at a bunch of options and finally settled on this one, and I'm not disappointed. I've had it for a year and all is working swell. Of course you can't expect an IMAX experience from a $100 projector, but it gets the job done just fine. I usually use a separate speaker when watching a movie, but the times I have used the built-in speaker it sounds just fine.
I have noticed that the whole image is never totally in focus, so you have to play around with it to find what works for you. But it's good enough for when I watch movies or have a little home presentation.

I give it 4 stars for the difficulty in focus and also because I do think it's a little too noisy.

I really like this projector and everything about it like the sound quality and the video quality and all the features, just two things, 1 being the fan is a little loud but not too loud to the point where it gets annoying since the video audio will cover it mostly anyway, and 2 being that it won’t allow me to play Netflix from my phone. I had to buy the Lightning Digital AV Adapter from Apple which allowed me to watch on other streaming networks like Disney+, Hulu, Peacock, and YouTube, but for some reason it doesn’t allow me to play any shows on Netflix.

We did have issues where a black spot was in middle of when it was on so we couldn't see movies. But I reached out to the manufacturer of the projector! Their customer service is excellent and fast! Celia the representative I spoked to and helped me was wonderful! And very positive and nice and made sure to get us a new one since it been only a couple months!! Would buy another one in heartbeat

I paid $50 for this. It's worth every bit of that what it is. If this was a $300 project, I'd give it one or two stars. This is the lowest point of entry, and I've kept that in mind when reviewing. Just a few comments for those who might be looking for info.

    Keystone:
It Sucks. It only moves vertically - not horizontally - which is OK - but when you apply the keystone, you can't focus both the top/bottom of the screen. If you were watching a movie, it maybe wouldn't matter, but I am using it for a golf sim and I need readable data at the top and bottom of the screen. All it really does is make it a square - but not really a 'usable square'.

    Mount / Screen flip:
I still can't decide if I missed something, but when I inverted the screen (button on the remote) so that I could mount the project upside-down, I ended up with reversed text. As I was messing around, I couldn't tell if I could flip both directions or not -but I mounted it differently and it became a non issue. It might be goofy, just FYI.

    Brightness:
This is the only projector I've ever used at home. If my garage lights are on - You can't see this at all. I'm using it in the dark, and it's fine. Again, I don't expect it to be perfect, but it's definitely OK for the price.

The only other thing that's an annoyance, is that I end up backing out of menu to power off, where you need to confirm. If you don't confirm it turns off, instead if needing to press "another button" to cancel. it's happened a few times, and it just seems like I shouldn't be in the "power off" menu as often as I am. Now that I'm past the point of messing with it, it's less of an issue, but I swear I accidentally turned it off a half dozen times at first.

Prior to purchasing this projector I did a fair amount of research on several websites, including some very informative videos on Youtube, and therefore was well aware of any limitations that this item would bring with it. I agree with much of what was said and discussed on these sites as to the performance of this projector, but for the price it delivers a fairly decent image, albeit a little soft around the edges and definitely best in a very dark environment. I primarily use it to project digital decorations onto a window for Halloween and for the most part the H1 is sufficient for this purpose. In this mode of operaton, for me, the biggest downside is the need to have the projector positioned central to the projected image. Due to the lack of extensive keystone correction, this spoils the hollusion effect a bit as there is no way to conceal the projector as one could do with a much more expensive unit that offers better keystone/focus controls. As most users have commented, provided you understand the limits that this projector functions within, for the price, it is hard to beat.

Update: 4.5 stars. For way under a hundred bucks, this was a steal. Sure there are compromises. But projectors aren't about perfection. No projector can give you darker darks than the surface you're using, e.g. I get crisp images with great color in a room with a dimmed lamp on a plain white wall. Works well with an old Amazon Tap as bluetooth speaker. No real keystone adjustment though.

Original take: For throwing a 50-inch wide video image on a painted living room wall that isn't perfectly flat, this projector has been pretty good. Color, resolution, contrast and brightness are surprisingly good; the speaker is surprisingly loud. So, the basics exceeded my expectations. But keystone adjustment is a joke, at least if you don't want large areas of the screen out of focus. Materials and build are OK for the price. I wish there was a second HDMI port instead of the USB ports, and better magnification. An iris control would at least allow for more keystone adjustment and more forgiving focusing in situations where we don't need full brightness. Overall, though, for the price, really not bad.

I have noticed that when I focus the image to be crystal sharp in the center, the outer edge all around is blurry. This is not an issue when projecting a letterbox image as the black areas don't matter. However, an image that takes up the entire projection shows sharp in the center with a blurry edge. I can settle with letterbox movies, but can't rely on a overall crystal clear focus using this unit as a whole.

If this is a known issue and has been rectified, I would, yes, be interested in exchanging it. Otherwise, it is what it is.

UPDATE Nov 18, 2024 - I have received support and an amicable resolution has resulted. This review has received an upgrade in the review.

It’s a pretty great little portable projector. Love how adjustable it is for angled walls. You have a vertical angle adjuster and a focus adjuster. Can use the little foot underneath to angle the entire projector upward but not a whole lot which is kind of a bummer but you get what you get for the price. The picture quality is surprisingly good for the price and the speakers are honestly impressive for something so small. Obviously it’s not perfect but gives out quite a bit of sound on its own (though I just connect a Bluetooth speaker). I’ve used this anywhere from 5 ft away from a wall/screen to about 16 ft away and it did not change the quality of the picture.
Obviously a little tough to see when there are. Bunch of lights on or if watching in daylight—as expected. Only thing I wish it had was larger adjustment for the little foot underneath and I wish it was centered since the foot is on the side slightly (I’m assuming for what was installed internally kept them from allowing a foot to be in the middle). This makes it a little tough because the screen ends up ever so slightly tilted. Nothing a little bottle cap or honestly even a piece of folded paper can’t fix though. Still worth the price on my opinion.

I was suggested this projector by a friend. It was on sale for $69.99 (with free shipping!) which is hard to beat. Setup is pretty straightforward. I love that it came with a remote and HDMI cable too. Image looks solid. It's not 4K but I knew it wouldn't be that in this price range. I initially tried to use my iPad with it via HDMI but my streaming services weren't working properly and when I tried to play a movie I would hear the audio but it would show a black screen on the projector. I checked the manual and it stated it would not work via iPad or iPhone for playing streaming content like this due to certain regulations. So instead I went to Walmart and bought a Roku stick for 30 bucks...and it's amazing!!! Legit, this thing combined with a Roku stick, for $100 bucks you've got a decent home theater. The built in speaker is alright. I will probably buy another speaker but in the meantime it's fine. I wish that it had built in leveling feet so you can adjust if you need to angle the projector down, but I just used some staples office paper on the back feet and it did the job. I recommended this projector as an affordable option for home entertainment!

This projector isn't just good for the price, it's just plain good. I did not feel like I sacrificed any quality for the money I saved. For what it's worth, I arrived at this particular projector after a lot of research on budget projectors, and I don't doubt this one earned the respect I found for it from multiple sources.

If you're obsessed with perfect picture quality you can surely find better elsewhere, but only if you're comfortable paying ten times the price and likely getting something louder. The picture is really good, the mechanical keystone correction is good enough (although I wish there was also a digital keystone for more extreme angles and for horizontal correction), it's surprisingly bright, and the built-in speakers are good for my purposes. The remote control works well, and it's multi-voltage meaning it works on 110V and 220V.

I have it on a projector stand behind the headboard of my bed, and the stand costed more than the projector itself. Projecting onto an angled ceiling, the keystone doesn't work as well as I would hope and the somewhat further distance means a little bit of clarity is lost around the edges of the picture, but it produces a large picture that is as bright and clear as I had hoped for, and the noise of the fan is so limited that the built-in speaker hides it even when it's right over my head.

As far as extra features, there aren't a ton. You will need to connect to a device using an HDMI cord (a normal HDMI-to-HDMI cord is provided), but a simple extra purchase of an HDMI-to-USB-C cord for my Android smartphone worked perfect for me, and is cheaper and more versatile than a Fire Stick or even a Raspberry Pi running Kodi (which does not have a web browser, meaning you're stuck with only the services that have functioning plugins). Check the specifics on how your smartphone exports to HDMI. As I said, the built-in speakers work fine for my purposes, but it does support Bluetooth connection for audio output devices (and audio output devices only) or you can run a wire to any other speaker.

I haven't used it a ton yet, would like to test it some more and get some pictures of it in action, and I will update my review if any problems arise, but so far I'm extremely pleased with this purchase. For the $60-$70 I paid while this was on sale, having a projector to just toy around with is awesome.

I wasn't expecting much for a $50 projector, but was happily surprised at the quality of the picture, especially having true native 1080p. Being LED ratger than a classic halogen bulb is also a huge plus! It's not the brightest, but is perfect for movies in a medium to dark lit room and sufficient for most purposes at this price range. It's also fairly small and lightweight which is convenient for mounting on a tripod or wall mounted shelf. It has HDMI and USB, which is perfect for adding a simple Chromecast or other wireless streaming device and you've got a convenient and quite portable all-in-one projector. Only need to plug in a single power cable.

The main negative is the limitation of the optics. The focus adjustment works well for a good range of distance, but the keystone adjustment is unusable as it slightly tilts the image behind the lens. This technically corrects the edge alignment, but also causes the focal range to be ineffective. The only way to focus the entire image is to keep the keystone adjustment right in the center. That also means the projector itself needs to be as close to perfectly centered on your screen or surface you're projecting to.

Also, because the size of the screen is directky related to the distance of the projector to your screen, it can make ideal positioning very tricky. Technically the projector menu allows for a digital zoom adjust, which can shrink the image within the max dimensions - so you could have the projector back further and use a smaller screen. But what this does is lose resolution of your image, scaling it down digitally rather than optically with the lens.

Lastly, the projector has Bluetooth capability for audio, so you can use a sound bar or earbuds, etc. This is pretty easy to set up and works well, but the audio to video sync is off by more than 200ms which at least with Chromecast is the max adjustment. So lip sync is off enough to be slightly annoying. Using a standard analog stereo mini jack to a speaker system, or routing your HDMI through a receiver first pretty much eliminates this issue so it really only affects Bluetooth audio and may not even be noticeable by everyone.

Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase! For $50 it's an incredible value. If it were $100+, I might be less impressed. But really this is a super fun and affordable projector perfect for outdoor movie nights or other creative uses like rear projected Halloween FX, etc.

I set this up on my screened in patio and have enjoyed watching YouTube and movies at night on a big screen. The included 100" screen is better than nothing, but is a very stretchy soft fabric which creates a slightly softer and dimmer image due to being somewhat thin for rear projection use too. I ended up using a smaller 88" pull down projection screen with a nice flat and opaque material which reflects light back brighter than the fabric.

In conclusion, 5 stars because it does exactly what it's supposed to do and was super cheap. I would not recommend this for a proper home theater installation, but as a audio/videophile, I really like it for what it is.

Considering the price this is very impressive. Pros of the HAPPRUN 9500L:
It's bright, in a good way. I am projecting on a white ceiling above my bed. Why sit on the couch when you can lie back and watch a movie? The colors are bright and clear. I have the settings picture mode MILD, color temperature MEDIUM, and noise reduction OFF.

Even with a table lamp on it's still plenty bright but it's better to turn off all lights to cut down on other light reflection

The remote works well but you'll need two AAA batteries as they don't come with it

The unit is compact, very sturdy well-built

Watching movies was as good as my laptop but way bigger on the ceiling. I would say comparable to lower-end big TV

It does have some fan noise but extremely reasonable if you're not sitting on top of it

You get a lot more bang for your buck than your expected.

Marketing versus reality: (issues with all manufacturers)

Pretty much all the video projectors quote ridiculously high numbers as to their lumens or brightness. Read the reviews they're much more realistic than the manufacturer's descriptions

Showing people with their smartphone mirroring content... The reality is you cannot mirror Netflix or apple TV etc to projectors. They don't want you to become the neighborhood movie theater.

I use my laptop and a long HDMI cable and I can watch anything I want

Support 4K- notice it doesn't say projects 4K because it doesn't. That would cost you a couple of thousand dollars. even saying it projects 1920*1080 might be pushing it... Since the reviews I watched showed the HAPPRUN had better resolution than many of the competitors I agree

    THE CONS:

If you're looking at text, from a website you will notice out-of-focus areas and it's somewhat difficult with the focus wheel to get that dialed in exactly. It's not an issue when you are watching a movie but around the edges can be out of focus no matter how much you fiddle.

±15° Keystone Correction... Keystone or deskewing allows you to adjust angles when viewing on a screen that may be higher than the actual projector or in my case on the ceiling. The Keystone on the HAPPRUN is very limited. And I must say my older projector had better Keystone. The top screen goes off your projector area when the bottom fits in with room to spare. key adjust that somewhat. Keep in mind it's under a $100

Color Black - the colors are very Vivid but the blacks tend to take on darkness all to their own. This creates a really Vivid contrast but as an example, if a newscaster is wearing a black shirt with black buttons the buttons pretty much disappear. This oversaturation of black might be corrected by changing the contrast but I got used to it pretty quickly

I'd first studied some reviews on YouTube and came across HAPPRUN which beat out 12 other video projectors... got third place for great projectors under $100. I had an Auking video projector for 4 years and used it every night but was not bright like the HAPPRUN
